Adjacent to the north of site are rock kilns or storage pits built into the talus slope. 8 "kilns" total, 2-3 feet deep each - GPS "Rock Kilns." Some pitch pine flagged to the east have broken tops and scraggly appearance. Hemlock to the east of site.;Hillslope with boulders. Pitch pine of various heights, including some in the S1 stratum. Some invading hardwoods and red spruce. A table mountain pine between E2 and E3 was seen, also red spruces of all sizes all around the site. Fire scars and charcoal (2.5 cm diameter) were observed - likely the last burn reached the bedrock.
